How you can help
We depend on the love and hard work of volunteers in many capacities. Volunteers are involved in many ways such as spending time with the children, helping with fundraisers, and even lawn maintenance, we need it all! If you have a heart for this type of work, we could greatly use you! Contact us for more information.
Volunteer Requirements
In Dallas/Tarrant County, there is a great need for transitional housing for children and teens. In the year 2007 Data Book (http://www.dfps.state.tx.us) Region 3 of CPS in Texas, Dallas and Tarrant County alone, had over 11,000 confirmed victims of child abuse and over 28,000 unconfirmed victims. Those numbers increase every day. According to the 2007 Child Abuse and Neglect-Community Assessment Update Families Impact Council, child abuse in Tarrant County has continued to rise while National numbers are decreasing. We will offer the additional space for placements that are currently being turned away from other places due to lack of room.
